Bay of Fundy UNESCO Biosphere Reserve

Stretching from the Tantramar Marshes to Saint Martin's, a new UNESCO Biosphere Reserve has been created - and Fundy National Park is in the middle of the reserve. Visitors to the Bay of Fundy UNESCO Biosphere Reserve will experience vast salt marshes, towering cliffs and of course the highest tides in the world. Congratulations to everyone who worked so hard to bring this project to a successful completion!

Until next time,

Alan

End of Season

Here it is Sept 22 and another season of delivering tours to people from around the world is finished. It has been a busy summer with lots of people coming and going. The upper Bay of Fundy is a phenomenal place to paddle, but one disadvantage is the amount of effort to get kayaks on the water (and off the water) with tidal ranges of 30 to 40 feet. But that is a major reason why people come to us - to experience the world's highest tides by being on the water.

This was a special summer as well because co-owner and business partner, Joe Miller, got married to Becky Morrison in August. Everyone enjoyed the get together at FreshAir Adventure's kayaking centre the evening prior. The wedding took place in Fundy Nation Park in glorious weather with lots of friends and family in attendance.
A very special day indeed!

Until next time.

Alan
